It has been announced by Link Fund Solutions that the LF Woodford Equity Income Fund is to be wound up. Link Fund Solutions have issued the following statement:
"On 3 June 2019 Link Fund Solutions ("LFS") as the Authorised Corporate Director of the Fund obtained the agreement of Northern Trust Global Services SE (UK Branch) (the "Depositary") to suspend dealing in the Fund.
"Since then we have continued to consider the future of the Fund and after careful review of the Fund and its holdings we have decided not to re-open the Fund and instead to wind it up as soon as practicable.
"We will now take the necessary steps to request that formal permission and it is expected that the winding up of the Fund will commence on 17 January 2020.
"Notice of our decision was sent to investors on 15 October 2019.
