About two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA), also called two-step verification, adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second verification method in addition to your password. This prevents unauthorized access even if your password is stolen.

We offer two types of 2fA - using an authenticator app (commonly used on mobile devices) or using your email.

You have 3 options for securing your account:

Option 1: Use email and password
  • It requires only the use of a username (email address) and a password.
  • If you enter the correct email and password combination you will have full access to your account.
  • If you enter an incorrect email and password 5 times in a row login attempts for that email will be temporarily blocked for an hour.
Option 2: Use your email to verify

This method of 2fA requires 2 steps.

Step 1: Log in normally using your email address and password.

  • You will be presented with a page to enter a 4-digit code.
  • An email will be sent to you containing the 4-digit code.

Step 2: Enter the 4-digit code emailed to you.

  • You will not have access to your account until you submit the correct code.
  • Once you enter the correct code you will have full access to your account.
  • If you enter an incorrect code 5 times in a row access to your acount will be locked and you will have to contact us to unlock it.
Option 3: Use an authenticator app

This method of 2fA requires 2 steps.

Step 1: Log in normally using your email address and password.

  • You will be presented with a page to enter a one-use 6-digit code from your authenticator.
  • Open your authenticator app to view the code.

Step 2:Enter the 6-digit code displayed in your authenticator app.

  • You will not have access to your account until you submit the correct code.
  • Once you enter the correct code you will have full access to your account.
  • If you enter an incorrect code 5 times in a row access to your acount will be locked and you will have to contact us to unlock it.
