Janus Henderson have announced that they have changed the name of the Janus Henderson Global Technology Fund to Janus Henderson Global Technology Leaders Fund and have stated the following:
"At Janus Henderson we manage several funds with similar names. The managers of the Global Technology Fund are one of two distinct global technology equity management teams each with their own investment style/strategy. The Edinburgh-based team that manage the fund invest in the long-term drivers of technology adoption and disruption (i.e. the leaders). We believe that the change of name should reduce the risk of investors confusing similarly named funds, and additionally will better align the fund name with the managers' particular investment strategy."
The way the fund is managed and its risk profile will remain unchanged.
