Fidelity have announced that on 26th April 2021, the Fidelity Emerging Asia Fund will change its name to become the Fidelity Sustainable Asia Equity Fund.
Reflecting the focus on companies with superior Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) characteristics, the investment policy will also change on 26th April 2021. The fund will continue to be managed by Dhananjay Phadnis who has been the portfolio manager since November 2013. The underlying investment process will remain the same, but with an enhanced focus on ESG criteria.
In addition, Flora Wang, Director - Sustainable Investing has been named as Assistant Portfolio Manager. Her focus will be on working with Dhananjay on company engagement and analysis of sustainability factors.
