Invesco has announced that Mark Barnett will share the head of UK equities role with his colleague Martin Walker from January 2020.
The fund house has issued the following statement:
"Invesco confirms that Mark Barnett has asked Martin Walker to join him to lead the UK equities team.
"The co-head model is one that we have in place on several of our desks," the fund group added.
"Mark and Martin have worked together for 20 years; they have a strong working relationship and common understanding for how they want to continue to develop the team for the future."
It has been confirmed that the management of the funds both Barnett and Walker run will not change.
Martin Walker has been managing Invesco UK Growth fund for over a decade and the Invesco UK Focus fund since 2013. Mark Barnett runs three funds: Invesco High Income, Invesco Income and Invesco UK Strategic Income along with Perpetual Income & Growth Investment Trust.
